Greg Frank, VP of Community Relations · Food Fight
Greg Frank joined Food Fight in 2007 after owning and operating legendary Madison sandwich shop The Radical Rye for 11 years and working as a restaurant consultant. "I grew up in the business along with Food Fight, so I knew Monty Schiro (Food Fight CEO) and Peder Moren (Food Fight Chairman) a bit. When I sold Radical Rye in late 2000, I figured I would never be in the business again unless it was a near perfect situation. Peder and Monty approached me and offered the right opportunity." Greg attended Culinary School at MATC (now Madison College), and later earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from The University of Wisconsin at Stout. The restaurant career that followed has afforded him the opportunity to do what he loves most: work with a group of individuals who are focused on the goal of creating a great experience for people. "When a guest hears 'Food Fight,' they have a certain set of expectations, and we strive to ensure that those expectations are met at every one of our restaurants." Though the company has doubled in size since he joined, the core values that are the foundation of Food Fight's company philosophy-commitment to customers, employee ownership, and community service-have remained the same, and are a large part of why he stays with organization. "Each person working at Food Fight contributes to make us better every day, and in turn has made us a successful business, a major employer, and a valuable community resource."
