Jeff Baldridge, Director of Operations · Market Street Diner, Market Street Catering, Carl's Cakes
Jeff is originally from La Crosse, WI. He and his wife moved to the Madison area to be closer to family so he accepted a position working for Food Fight. Jeff has spent more than 20 years in the service industry. “I originally got into the restaurant industry right after high school, working as a dishwasher at a country club. However, after working various restaurant positions, I decided to take my career to the next level because I wanted to cook professionally. I went back to school and graduated with my culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu.” After graduating with a culinary degree in 2008, Jeff worked his way up through the ranks in the kitchen as a prep cook, line cook, executive sous chef, executive chef, and general manager of various restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. He has worked in restaurants in Hawaii, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Minnesota, and Utah. “My favorite thing about working in restaurants is providing an exceptional and memorable guest experience. I was drawn to working in restaurants, because as a chef for many years, I enjoyed seeing people enjoy my food. Now, working as part of the management team, I think about the full dining experience including food quality, great service, and ambiance. I enjoy seeing guests having a good time.” When Jeff isn’t busy working, he can be found visiting with family or spending time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys cooking at home, watching the Packers, and relaxing in true Wisconsin fashion--hanging out by a lake or campfire with a Leinenkugel's Original.
