At the helm of The Coopers Tavern is owner and General Manager, Peter McElvanna. McElvanna, a native Irishman, along with his wife, Amy Marsman. Together they envisioned a pub that would highlight locally-sourced food and drinks, and yet, still maintain a global cuisine - mirroring the couple's own travels and adventures. Echoing this theme, the lunch and dinner menus showcase classic dishes like poutine, bone marrow, hummus, and frites. 99 Bottles and more. With a bar menu that features over 28 tap beers and over 100 bottle varieties, The Coopers Tavern can't easily be written off as "just another bar on the Square." The beer list is varied, moving beyond more typical Belgian imports and local craft brews to include a wide range of offerings from Ireland, England, and Germany. Serving lunch and dinner daily, the Tavern's menu showcases European fare like bone marrow and frites.
