Reservations, Seating, and Physical Distancing
We strongly recommend reservations at this time, and every Food Fight restaurant is currently taking reservations. Walk-in diners are welcome but may experience a wait for a table or bar/counter stool. Due to health department capacity regulations, we are unable to allow guests to wait inside the restaurant for a table. Customers must wait outside or in their cars until they receive a text that their table is ready.
We have arranged our seating plan so there is 6 feet between tables and parties at the bar. Certain tables and bar/counter seats will be left unseated to maintain safe distance standards between customer groups.
There is a Face Covering Mandate in Dane County. Every individual (5 years of age or older) must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth while inside our restaurant except while they are seated at their table. We request that customers wear face coverings until they receive their first drink or food item. Outdoor dining, curbside carryout, and delivery are available if you cannot wear a mask. Thank you for respecting the safety of other guests and our employees!
All restaurant employees will be screened for illness upon arrival to work each day, including a fever screening with a temporal thermometer. Our employees sign off on a Health Reporting agreement, which requires them to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms before coming to work, and to stay home if they have COVID-19 symptoms or if they’ve had contact with a person with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.
Restaurant employees are always required to wear masks while working.
Restaurant employees wear gloves while working in the kitchen and when touching ready to eat food, but will not wear gloves while providing table service. This protocol is based on the recommendation from Public Health Madison & Dane County. Employees will wash their hands regularly, for 20 seconds or longer, which is more effective and efficient than having to change gloves repeatedly.
Work shifts are staggered for restaurant employees and we limit the number of workers present to no more than is necessary to operate our restaurant safely.
Restaurant employees are trained and sign off on our new physical distancing, hygiene, cleaning, and illness screening policies, and retrained on proper handwashing and sanitation procedures.
Facility Cleaning & Disinfection
Our restaurants have established cleaning schedules and increased the frequency of facility cleaning and disinfection.
Our restaurants have a plan in place for cleaning and disinfecting in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in our restaurant and will follow all guidance/requirements by Public Health Madison & Dane County and CDC.
There will be hand sanitizer available for customers and at all employee work stations in our restaurants.
Our restaurants are using chemicals on the EPA list (N) of antimicrobial agents that meet their criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2. We use broad-spectrum Quaternary-based hospital grade disinfectant cleaner to clean all seating, tables, dining room, and restroom surfaces. We use Steramine Quaternary Ammonium in our kitchen, and on and around food contact surfaces.
Do not dine at our restaurants if you are currently experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or if you have been in contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive. Please use proper sneeze and cough etiquette.
Our restaurants require that you wear a mask upon entering our restaurant and anytime you are not sitting at a dining table.
We ask that you do not wear gloves into our restaurants. Read more about the risks associated with glove use in public places here. Hand sanitizer and kleenex is available for customers in our dining room. Our restrooms will be fully stocked with hand washing supplies.
We will ask you to view our restaurant menus online, on your phone, instead of our usual menu books or laminated menus. If you would prefer a paper menu, ask your server, and it will be discarded after one use.
